Sgt. Neil Evans Wheeler

This lesson was completed when I was selected to go to Europe to tour WWI battlefields with National History Day.  They have a researcher on their staff that provided me with Sgt. Wheeler’s service records.  His record contained somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 pages.  For this, I had to write a bio on Wheeler and a eulogy that I delivered at Belleau Wood.  The lesson plan I put together was completed after my work was done with National History Day.  Since I had a sufficient amount of documents to use it was only natural to utilize them in a lesson plan.
